A Link to the Post: The Weird and Wacky History of Confirmation

confirmAs Pastor Brown discussed the Lutheran practice of Confirmation in last week’s episode, it seems all too appropriate to direct our audience to Pastor Mark Surburg’s blog posts on the history of Confirmation, as reposted by Norm Fisher on the Brother’s of John the Steadfast blog (because it has way better layout and formatting than Surburg’s blog – sorry Pr. Surburg!).  Anyone interested in the practice and its history should find these very worthwhile.

Part I – When there was no Confirmation: the western Church before Nicaea

Part II – When there was no Confirmation in Rome

I’ll try to update with more links as the series proceeds!

What's up yo? :o)
